Ipamorelin

▸ Overview

Ipamorelin is a highly selective GH-secretagogue pentapeptide that acts on the GHSR-1a receptor, mimicking the action of ghrelin. It stands out for not raising cortisol or prolactin, making it one of the most specific GHRPs available.

▸ Mechanism of action

• Acts as a selective agonist of the GHSR-1a receptor (the ghrelin receptor) in the pituitary.
• Unlike other GHRPs, it does NOT raise cortisol, prolactin or ACTH, giving it a very clean side-effect profile.
• Produces physiological GH pulses without disrupting natural feedback mechanisms.
• Stimulates hepatic IGF-1 synthesis, supporting muscle recovery and lipolysis.
• Its action begins 15–30 minutes after injection, with a GH peak lasting 1–2 hours.
• Has a strong synergistic effect with GHRH (CJC-1295/Sermorelin): GHRH amplifies the pulse that Ipamorelin triggers.

• Subcutaneous route: fine (insulin-type) needles in the abdomen or thigh.
• Reconstitution: lyophilized powder reconstituted with bacteriostatic water.
• Storage: mandatory refrigeration (2–8 °C) after reconstitution; use within 28 days.

• Empty stomach: inject with a minimum of 2–3 hours of fasting.
• No carbohydrates or fats: insulin spikes block GH release.
• Post-injection: wait at least 30 minutes before eating.
• Common schedules: first thing in the morning fasted, or immediately before sleep.
